VARIABILITY STUDIES IN GUINEA GRASS

摘要

In a study conducted at the College of Agriculture, Vellayani in the partial shade of coconut gardens, using the open pollinated seed progeny of six guinea grass (Panicum maximum Jacq) clones namely, FR-600, Makueni, MC-2, MC-14, MC-16 and MC-23, it was found that selection among thenvwill be effective for the characters, viz., leaf area, root length, plant height, inflorescence count and leaf stem ratio.
