GROWTH AND REGROWTH OF PERENNIAL DINANATH GRASS (PENNISETUM PEDICELLATUM Trin.)

In the field trial conducted to assess effect of N levels on growth and harvest dates on regrowth of the perennial Dinanath grass (Pannisetum pedicellatum Trin.), growth pattern was analysed through dry matter production, LAI, NAR, RGR, CGR, LAR and LWR and regrowth through El (efficiency index). Application of 75 kg N/ha was found superior for growth in terms of growth indices and dry matter yi eld. The harvest interval of 45 days followed by 75 days in combination with 75 kg N/ha was found superior for regrowth in terms of El.
