A field experiment was conducted during Kharif 1982-83 and 1983-84 at H.P. Krishi Vishvavidyalaya, Palampur to study the performance of Napier-Bajra hybrids under varying levels of nitrogen in respect of forage and crude protein yields under rainfed condition. Pooled data indicated that variety IGFRI-5 produced significantly higher green forage (43.34 t/ha), dry matter (15.08 t/ha) as well as crude protein (o.72 t/ha) yields over NB-21 and IGFRI-2. Forage and crude protein yields increased significantly with the increasing levels of nitrogen up to 60 kg N/ha.
