Electrical installations for the new Zurich-West tram line

The new "Zurich-West" tram line has a length of 3.070 km and is double-track throughout. It begins at Escher-Wyss-Platz, which has been rearranged as part of the project. The equipment installed there and along the new line adds up to a total of 33 points, 18 crosses and ten track lubrication units. The stops are some 300-400 m apart. A tram serving all the stops needs roughly seven minutes to travel between Escher-Wyss-Platz and Alt-stetten railway station.
