New opportunities for maglev around the world

Magnetic levitation (maglev) railways are going to be the most environmentally friendly railway systems for the future. That explains why the maglev conference in October 2011 was held under the motto of "Go Green! Go Maglev!" Japan has had experience with maglev railways since 2005, and China since 2002. Other routes are being prepared for entering service: in Korea in 2012, in China in 2015 and in Japan in 2027.
