摘要

A field experiment was conducted in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, India during 2004/2005-2005/2006 using barley as the test crop. Four vedic organic amendments were used for the treatments: angara (soil under bergad tree), amritpani (mixture of cow dung, urine and honey solution), and angara + amritpani including a control and two methods of seed priming, i.e, pangchgavya and water. The parameters considered were grain yield, seed yield, leaf area, leaf weight, soil health, microbial biomass, microbial respiration rate and microbial density. The results revealed that sowing of primed seeds with pangchgavya and the application of angaa + amripatni could be recommended for higher grain yield and better soil health improvement.
