Cover and plinth storage system for stacking bales of different crop residues.

A cover and plinth (CAP) storage structure was designed and constructed for storing bales/blocks of paddy straw, grasses, complete feed block and wheat bhusa-molasses blocks outside for saving storage space. The designed CAP storage could store 1620 to 1917 bales per platform for paddy straw, grasses, complete feed block, wheat bhusa-molasses blocks, stylo stem and wheat stubble with density of 160, 165, 400, 400, 90 and 355 kg/m3, respectively, up to a height of 3 m. The stored weight for different products ranged between 13-32 tonnes per storage platform.
