摘要

A total of 29 genotypes of Stylosanthes scabra were studied to analyse the specific leaf area (SLA), transpiration efficiency (TE), water potential and dry matter (DM) production under control and water stressed conditions. Results revealed a significant relationship between SLA and TE. SLA has not much declined under stress but TE increased significantly. However, a significant and positive relationship between TE and total DM indicated that increased TE has not much affected the total DM production of S. scabra lines.
