Nutritive value of Anogeissus pendula genotypes

Studies on evaluation of nutritive value of five genotypes (A.P.-12, A.P.-28, A.P.-35, A.P.-52 and A.P.-S_2) of Anogeissus pendula leaves were carried out. Results revealed that acid detergent fiber (ADF), neutral detergent fiber (NDF), ash, total phenol (TP), and in-vitro dry matter digestibility (IVDMD) of A. pendula leaves differed significantly due to different genotypes. However, the genotypes did not differ significantly for Crude protein., Condensed tanin and lignin. IVDMD was maximum in A.P.-35 (49.63 percent) followed by A.P.-28 (46.12 percent). Different pruning intensities did not show significant variation in chemical composition of A. pendula leaves.
