摘要

A field experiment was conducted during 1995-2000 to study the effect of potash and row ratio on persistence and productivity of Dhawalu grass (Chrysopogon fulvus) + Caribbean stylo (Stylosantheshamata) intercropping system under rainfed conditions. Highest persistence of Caribbean stylo was observed in sole stand, whiie in Dhawaiu grass it was maximum in 2:1 row ratio of grass-legume intercropping Intercropping of Dhawalu grass with Caribbean stylo in 1:1 row ratio resulted in significantly higher total green forage, dry matter and crude protein yield compared to sole grass during all the years. Potash application @ 60 kg K_2O /ha showed highest persistence of both grass and legume. The green forage, dry matter and crude protein yield also increased significantly with increasing levels of potash from 0 to 60 kg K_2O /ha in all the years of trial.
