The distribution of various forms of S in soil profiles collected from the cropped areas with S fertilization, without S fertilization, grasslands, and range legume pastures indicated that the total and organic S decreased whereas inorganic and available S increased as soil depth increased. The contribution of available to inorganic S and inorganic to total S at lower layer (30-45 cm) and organic to total S at surface layer (0-15 cm) was higher. The contribution from inorganic to available and totalto inorganic S in soil profiles under cropped lands with S fertilization was highest whereas total to organic S in soil profiles under range legume pasture was maximum.
