For years, Ford Ogles'by has been searching for a product that will use large amounts of Texas mohair without totally depending upon the fashion industry. Oglesby of Eldorado, Texas, (and many others who are backing this concept) believes he has foundsuch a product in mohair carpeting. The carpeting idea is an offshoot of Oglesby's ongoing mohair rug project initiated several years ago. The idea, explained Oglesby, is that rugs and carpets use large amounts of mohair and once established into the trade would not be hinged upon the flighty world of fashion, as many mohair products have been in the past.
