Presezzi Extrusion, Italy, has built extrusion presses since 1997 with high reliability, low maintenance, and high efficiency and productivity. Their original design was a back loading short stroke press. Since that time the company's engineering and sales teams together have devoted constant research to improving their press design based on the ever increasing demands of the industry to extrude wider ranges of alloys, more difficult shapes, and to produce extrusions with tighter tolerances and better surface finish qualities. Within the last five years, they have offered front loading presses to the international market. Additionally, since 2008, they developed a new energy saving feature on this press, the Presezzi Extrusion Energy Saving (PE E.S.) system, which claims to reduce energy consumption on the average press by 25-30%. In 2009, PE E.S. was made available to extruders in North America.
