ANALISIS POR CG/EM DE HIDROCARBUROS Y COMPUESTOS TERPENICOS EN LAS ESPECIES Euphorbia caracasana Boiss Y Euphorbia cotinifolia L (EUPHORBIACEAE)

摘要

In the present investigation the chemical composition of several fractions containing hydrocarbons and terpenoids type compounds of E. caracasana Boiss and E. cotinifolia L. collected in two different places in Merida State, Venezuela, analyzed by GC/MS is being described. Trans-phytol, an unsaturated chain alcohol and several either saturated or unsaturated (C_(16) - C_(20)) fatty acid methyl esters, were found as main components in E. caracasana species while from E. cotinifolia, mainly C_(20)-unsaturated methyl esters and saturated alcohols were observed being 2-ethoxycarbonyl-5-oxo-pyrrolidine, a pyrrolidine alkaloid, the main compound. No reports were found in the literature regarding similar studies for these species, thus the present report is consider a contribution to the phytochemical study of these.
