First Technology Roadmap on Aluminum Transformation

Several aluminum industry roadmaps have been published in recent years, starting with one by The Aluminum Association in 1997 and soon followed by the "Canadian Aluminium Roadmap" in 2000. However, these roadmaps had one thing in common: their focus was on aluminum production processing, leaving the many small and medium transformers and fabricators of aluminum in the shadow of the large multinationals. Now for the first time, a technology roadmap is available on aluminum transformation, the "Canadian Aluminium Transformation Technology Roadmap," 2006 Edition, offers insights and outlooks applicable to downstream aluminum processing throughout the world (Figure 1).
