Hydraulic lifts in focus: modernization and requirements for new installations

There are more than 1.2 million hydraulic lifts in Europe, functioning to the satisfaction of their users and owners. The sector is very dynamic, with a lot of small and medium-size companies, especially in countries such as Italy and Spain, conceiving, manufacturing and installing hydraulic machines, mostly in residential and other low use buildings or for heavy duty and industrial applications. Over the last two decades (since partial statistics are being collected by industry), the number of fatal accidents caused by the hydraulic drive system on hydraulic lifts has always been lower than the number of accidents due to the traction drive system on traction lifts.
