The Meiller GeniusPlus car door is a solution - persuasive and proven in years of practice - for retrofitting to industrial lifts that operate without car doors and are used for transporting passengers. This car door in roller shutter design offers a safe, full-area seal for the lift car against the shaft wall. Since the Industrial Safety Regulations (BetrSichV) came into force, responsibility for lift safety has been transferred to the operator. In Annex B of DIN EN 81 Section 80, item 25, the lack of a full-area car door has been classified as 'high' risk level. The installation of a car door is listed as a protective measure.
