Major changes should deliver major results

The Mid-Kent Joint Waste Partnership, covering the boroughs of Ashford, Maidstone and Swale recently signed an ￡86M, 10-year contract with municipal contractor Biffa. Proposed changes include introducing a street-cleaning regime based on need rather than frequency and the use of GIS data to realign rounds for maximum efficiency.
