Utsuri Mono part two: Shiro Utsuri

Shiro Utsuri 5 is the Utsurimono Champion of the 27th ZNA All Japan Show in 1991, 75 bu in size then, owned by Takeshi Hayashi. It also won the Kokugyo Prize and Best in Variety at the AJNPA All Japan Show. Its original breeder is unknown. Handling dealer Tamotsu Nagashima, Nagashima Koi Farm remembers it well. "The Shiro Utsuri won many show awards for a long time. Its sumi was very thick and has viscous texture. The body conformation and the skin ground were good as well. After being well matured, it kept a youthful appearance. It is one of the best Shiro Utsuri that I have ever handles." ZNA Tokyo chapter member Junichi Hirata also praised it as his most impressive Shiro Utsuri. The Shiro Utsuri was exported at last. It won the Grand Championof the 3rd Malaysia Koi Show, (photo 6) It was reported that size was 86 cm long at the show. To be surprised, it is supposed that its age was 18 years old then. As Tamotsu Nagashima commented, it is a tremendously long-lasting koi.
