CME/Nymex October gas futures fell 6.5￠ to $3.915/MMBtu as forecasts for the weeks ahead blow hot and cold

Midwest and eastern parts of the US are expecting much cooler weather with highs in the 60s over the next few weeks, while gas-heavy Texas should see above-normal temperatures well into October, according to meteorologist Dave Melita. Also, a strong inventory build is expected next week after this week's break in cooling demand, with some analysts looking for an injection topping 90 Bcf. Last year saw a 103 Bcf build.
