Seadrill has ordered two jack-up drilling rigs with Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Offshore in China

Seadrill reported that the new units are scheduled for delivery in the fourth quarter 2012 and first quarter 2013 respectively with a total project cost of $380 million. Under the terms of the contract, Seadrill has option agreements for construction of an additional two similar units. The rigs will be able to operate in water depths up to 400 feet and drill to depths of 30,000 feet.
