Dalian LNG terminal to open imminently

Petrochina is set to open China's fifth LNG terminal in mid-November. The plant is located in the city of Dalian and is set to receive its first import cargo in mid November. This will mean that the terminal has officially opened four months later than expected and the terminal will start pumping natural gas to local consumers via pipelines before the end of this year according to officials.The plant is expected to have a capacity of 3 million tpy in phase one development. It will be supplied with LNG from Qatar and Australia under long term contracts and is Petrochina's second 3 million tpy capacity import facility, showing the strength of demand in the country.
