Prices opened a touch higher today at $4.111 and then inched to an intraday high of $4.127 before resuming a downward trend. In the afternoon, steady selling sent prices falling to an intraday low of $4.028. Part of today's weakness stemmed from warmer weather forecasts for next week, while a shale gas supply forecast from Conoco calling for US shale output to grow 10% to 18% per year from 2010-2014 injected some further bearish sentiment into the market. For now, both weather and storage data does appear supportive, but not until market bears finish fading prices.
