Cheniere Energy has signed a 20-year tolling agreement with Spanish utility Endesa Generacio for the liquefaction capacity at its planned facility at Corpus Christi, Texas.

The Spanish utility would have the right to buy up to 1.5 million tons per year (205 million cubic feet per day) of supply at the terminal for $3.50/MMBtu plus 115% of the Henry Hub price. The 13.5 million tons/yr (1.85 billion cubic feet per day) project is now second in line in the US Department of Energy queue to allow exports to countries without free trade agreements with the US.
