Devon Energy reports that it has started layoffs in its Houston office.

Much of that office became expendable when the Oklahoma City-based company said it would divest its offshore and international assets to focus on US onshore plays. In published reports, Devon affirmed plans to layoff 11 people from the Houston office, including engineers, project coordinators and technicians, in a letter to the Texas Workforce Commission.
