Natural gas futures ran in place today, opening at $3.948, climbing to an intraday high of $4.015 and then falling to an intraday low of $3.902 during the afternoon. The contract lost early traction as it became clear that the US isn't a big enough player in the LNG markets to be bullishly impacted by the loss of nuclear power in Japan.
