Prices opened higher at $5.044 before advancing to an intraday high of $5.182 during morning trading. However, later in the day revised forecasts for cooler temperatures let the steam out of the earlier rally and prices regressed to an intraday low of $4.833. Revised forecasts showed the potential for precipitation-based disruptions across the Midwest, East and sometimes the South. In the 11- to 15-day outlook, the hot ridge axis may attempt to shift west, which could allow the East to cool, according to the Commodity Weather Group. In the tropics, the European guidance is sending a tropical low into the Gulf this coming weekend.
