The lower-demand inspired storage flows were augmented by the 31 new well completions last week in the Haynesville Shale, adding yet another 415 MMcf/day of new supply, which comes on the heels of more than 20 completions in late July that garnered greater than 250 MMcf/day. But it wasn't just new shale gas making its way to market as BP's Thunder Horse platform resumed complete operation as of Monday, lifting flows from the platform to the Destin Pipeline from zero last week to 251 MMcf/d. As a result, Mississippi Offshore production increased from 572 MMcf/d last week to 884 MMcf/d today.
