The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission has given Golden Pass Products the green light to develop liquefaction capacity at Golden Pass LNG near Sabine Pass, Texas.

The approval also gives the company the OK to make changes to an existing pipeline that will feed natural gas to the project. The planned facility will have three liquefaction trains that together will process up to 15.6 million tons/yr of LNG (2.1 Bcf/d). The new pipeline would include three miles of 24-inch loop, three new compressor stations and five new or modified pipeline modifications.
