The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission has given Tennessee Gas Pipeline a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity for the company’s proposed Connecticut Expansion Project

Ferc issued an environmental assessment for the project in October 2015. The project will upgrade TGP’s existing system within New York, Massachusetts and Connecticut. The Connecticut Expansion consists of 13.42 miles of 24-inch and 36-inch pipeline looping in Albany County, New York, Berkshire and Hampden Counties, Massachusetts, and Hartford County, Connecticut, minor modifications at one compressor station in Massachusetts and installation of minor appurtenant facilities.
