Crude oil regressed amid growing concerns over the global economic recovery stalling, further reducing demand oil and other fuels. Oil fell nearly 5%, bottoming out an intraday low of $72.05, after US manufacturing expanded at a slower pace last month and also after the US Department of Labor reported that more Americans applied for jobless benefits last week.
