Storing LNG as fuel in containers

Today, gas as fuel is quite standard on board LNGCs. There is no real secret in this anymore and more or less standard equipment is used, a leading German consultancy said. Gas as fuel for non-gas carriers is the key subject and even here, there is no magic in running engines with gas, or turbines - the challenge is to locate the fuel and to get it safely on board and handled by normal, not experienced, or trained crew in handling LNG. Many people and companies are keen on getting the gas on board by 'normal' methods, for example, bunker facilities and company tie-ups are under discussion, as are bunker station design and development and start-ups.
