Technip has won a contract from BP for hulls and mooring systems to be located in the Gulf of Mexico.

Under the terms of the deal, Technip will design, procure and build hulls and mooring systems for spars, deepwater drilling and production platforms. The value of the contract was not disclosed. Work will be carried out in Technip's operating center in Houston with spar building work to be done at the firm's Pori fabrication yard in Finland.
