Mitsubishi Heavy Industries is expecting more orders from Japanese LNG fleet owners for its new 'Peapod' LNG carrier that adds streamlining to Moss-style tank vessels. MHI recently signed an agreement with Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, to build a'"Sayaendo" series new-generation LNG carrier. An integrated hull/cover structure that uses a continuous tank cover was nicknamed "Sayaendo" because it resembles peas in a pod, with spheres ( "endo" or "peas") in a continuous cover ("saya"or"pod").
