In January, Modern Casting published a paper by Dr. Hathibelagal Roshan, the chief metallurgist at Maynard Steel Casting Company (Milwaukee), that detailed his efforts to develop "the innovation of steel plates and billets via a casting process that could break the monop-oly of wrought metal and provide an opportunity for the casting industry to enter a market that was not previously accessible."
