New York phases out trans fats in restaurants

In the USA,the New York City Health Department is proposing a partial phase-out of "artificial" trans fats in restaurants.The proposal allows restaurants six months to switch to oils,margarines,and shortenings that have less than 0.5 g of trans fat per serving.After 18 months,all food products must contain less than 0.5 g of trans fat per serving.
