LNG Supply and Demand in Q2 2013 - A return to supply growth after four Quarters of decline

The second quarter of 2013 saw a return to growth with global LNG supply increasing by 4.6% compared with the same period of 2012. Prior to Q2 2013, global LNG output had declined year-on-year for four successive quarters since the first quarter of 2012, as a combination of gas supply shortfalls and technical problems led to a number of liquefaction plants producing below capacity. LNG Business Review explores the reasons for the return to supply growth, the markets to which the additional LNG was delivered and the prospects for the remainder of 2013.
