It is shown that the numerical range of a tridiagonal operator with 0 main diagonal is symmetric with respect to the origin. Some related specialized results under stronger hypotheses are included. In particular, if the order of a matrix is 3, then its numerical range is an elliptical disk and is explicitly described. [References: 6]
