Until a few years ago, this species ofSpiraea was relative ly unknown. Then,a cultivar—a variety called 'Tor'—hit the market and became a landscaping superstar. What a workhorse! Tor is easy to grow and has a compact habit with very little pruning necessary, fresh green foliage and pretty white flowers in June. Now, Tor is being used in home gardens and commercial landscapes in large quantities.A new introduction that has many of the fine attributes that 'Tor' has, but with a classic pink flower color, has hit the market recently.
