摘要

The laws and other regulations and normative documents issued in 1995-2002, containing indications of the necessity of the utilization of waste energy in Lithuania, are surveyed. An analysis on the collected data on the potential of recoverable waste energy resources in the Lithuanian industry and power objects is presented. Some preconditions of the wastewater heat utilization using heat pumps and transfer of the heat recovered to the district heating system network are discussed. It was established that at present one TWh per year of waste heat is recovered and utilized by the Lithuanian industry enterprises and there are possibilities of utilizing another 3 TWh per year. In the municipal water purification plants themselves also 1 TWh per year of heat can be utilized.
