PLAN: plant life assessment network

The Plant Life Assessment Network (PLAN) consists of a multitude of projects financially supported by the EU Commission. Common to all projects are issues concerning 'plant life assessment', that is inspection and maintenance. The general problem that presents itself is the creation of clarity on the correlations between investments, maintenance, mishaps and lost production. What is needed is a broader view on how these factors influence a factory's efficiency. The purpose of PLAN is to initiate, maintain and motivate an advantageous collaborative process between concluded, current and future Research Development work and projects, thereby improving practical and commercial exploitation of the Research Development results.
