Large cargo butane prices dropped by more than 130/ t over the last two weeks to reach 915/t at the beginning of August.The fall was triggered by the retreat in crude prices and the closure of arbitrage opportunities to the US Gulf.Prices came under additional pressure from petrochemical producers' continued preference for the more competitively-priced propane feedstock.
