Pertamina softens LPG cylinder price rise

Indonesia’s state-owned oil company Pertamina on 7 January increased the domestic LPG price for non-subsi-dised 12kg cylinders by 17pc to 1,000 rupiah/kg(84￠/kg),after its initial pro-posed price increase was rejected by the government. The company had announced a price rise of 68pc to Rp3,959/kg at the start of this year,in an effort to minimise losses caused by the price differential between local wholesale prices and higher imported prices.
