EIA survey shows rise in LPG output

US LPG field production has increased by 3.8pc to an average 1,98mn barrels a day (b/d) this year compared with last year, according to a monthly report by the US Energy Information Administration (EIA). EIA estimates put August LPG field production at 2.01 mn b/d, a 4.7pc increase compared with the same month last year, as a boom in shale gas drilling boosted associated liquids production. Lower natural gas prices have boosted margins on natural gas liquids production.
