Large cargo butane cif Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp (ARA) prices rose by $72.50/t to $857.50/t over the last two weeks of October.Butane's value relative to naphtha also surged by around 10pc to 113pc, which reduced petrochemical producer demand. Buyers struggled to cover requirements for the end of October and the first half of November because of a dearth of spot supply from the North Sea and Mediterranean.
