DME output to take off

Japan's JFE Group,a consortium formed by Total and Japanese firms including Idemitsu,Marubeni and Nippon,expects to start producing lmn-2mn t/yr of dimethyl ether(DME)for commercial use from 2010.Two other consortiums,led by Mitsui and Mitsubishi,are conducting feasibility studies for plants of the same capacity in the Middle East and Australia,and are already importing DME.
