Japanese imports drop

Japanese LPG imports were down by 1.2pc to 760,856t in August from 769,833t a month earlier. A 4.2pc decrease in propane imports to 605,389t outstripped a 13pc rise in butane imports to 155,467t.Propane imports were lower in August as a result of high stocks in the past few months amid weak domestic demand. But importers bought more butane, because of growing concern about tightening supplies from Mideast Gulf producers.
