India's massive rural market is largely untapped by the LPG sector, but bringing LPG to small villages presents major infra-structural challenges for the country's LPG industry.The Indian oil ministry's joint secretary Apurva Chandra outlined the government's push to bring LPG out of its main consuming base in the country's urban centres. "The low-hanging fruit is already taken," Chandra told delegates at the World LP Gas Association annual forum in Rio de Janeiro this month.
