Propane prices at Mont Belvieu in Texas increased to 101.250/USG on 16 October, about 54pc of crude benchmark WTI, which closed at $78.53/bl in Nymex trading.Propane's forward curve steepened during the first two weeks of October, as higher crude prices widened the contango between prompt and outer-month prices.Exports from the US Gulf coast continue as trading firms take advantage of the arbitrage to European prices. Shipping facilities at Mont Belvieu are booked throughout the rest of this quarter.
