Autogas consumption in Taiwan could receive a further boost from a proposal by the new government to convert taxis to run on the fuel.The government's latest initiative follows a cabinet decision in January to spend NT7.572bn (234.9mn) on boosting autogas use {LPGW,6 February p7).Taiwan has more than 90,000 taxis,of which just a fraction run on LPG.
